UK Elections: Boris Johnson breaks tradition, casts ballot from a different constituency

Ballots of United Kingdom are being held today, these elections will decide the fate for the nation as these elections are considered crucial for the politics of country.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson broke the barries by not casting a ballot in his constituency. Media captured images of Mr Johnson while casting his vote at a polling station in the area of central London rather than his constituency Uxbridge and South Ruislip constituency.

As per the PA news agency of Britain, this decision means Johnson has broken from custom. In the year 2017 then-prime minister Theresa May cast her ball from her Maidenhead seat, in 2015 David Cameron voted in his seat in Witney, and in 2005 Tony Blair voted from his constituency of Sedgefield.

Voters of the United Kingdom expressed their feelings on social media and as per them, there have never been queues so long to cast the ballot before.

Here is just a selection of voter turnout throughout the years, according to a 2019 parliamentary report.
