Seventeen-year-old tennis prospect Alisa Oktiabreva has officially changed her sporting nationality and will now represent the Czech Republic, ending her association with Russia in international competition. The decision reflects her upbringing, as the reigning French Open girls’ singles champion has spent virtually her entire life living, studying and training in Prague.
Born in Moscow, Oktiabreva moved to Prague with her family when she was only two years old.
