Andrej Duda coming up strong in the first round of Poland’s presidential elections

Officeholder Andrzej Duda is broadly expected to win the first round of Poland’s presidential political decision on Sunday.

Be that as it may, he faces a “profoundly serious” second round because of the COVID-19 pandemic, specialists have told .

The polling form was at first planned to be held toward the beginning of May yet was dropped with only four days to pursue the decision Law and Justice party (PiS) fell an endeavour to push through a questionable all-postal vote intended to alleviate fears over the novel coronavirus. The political race was in this way delayed to June 28.

Duda, a free aligned with the traditionalist PiS party, has since seen his lead in the surveys contract.

Survey aggregator Europe Elects as of now predicts he will get 41 per cent of the vote, insufficient to keep away from a run-off.

Duda, or some other up-and-comer, would require a vote portion of 51 per cent or more to win through and through and maintain a strategic distance from a second round.
