Thousands of protestors took the streets of Tbilisi, Georgia to protest against the failure of government in delivering electoral reforms. People blocked the roads and demonstrated around the area of parliament.
People have been conducting rallies from past few weeks demanding proportional representation. Georgia was supposed to get proposition representation by the year 2024, but the opposition is calling for the date to be moved ahead.
As per protestors, the current system is favouring the ruling Georgian dream party which have been in power since 2012.
Considering the violence and civil disobedience by the demonstrators’ last week, police also used water cannon on protesters at a rally outside parliament last Monday, and arrested 37 people.
