This year’s star-studded lineup features an eclectic mix of artists across various genres, with globally acclaimed names such as Kraftwerk, The Kills, Kool & The Gang, Chilly Gonzales, and The Libertines among the headline acts

Lyon, France – One of Europe’s most celebrated multidisciplinary festivals, Nuits de Fourvière, is gearing up for another exhilarating edition, with tickets set to go on sale this Wednesday, March 19, at noon.

Held annually in the historic Théâtre Antique de Fourvière, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the festival blends music, theatre, dance, and circus performances, offering a diverse cultural experience from June 2 to July 26.

This year’s star-studded lineup features an eclectic mix of artists across various genres, with globally acclaimed names such as Kraftwerk, The Kills, Kool & The Gang, Chilly Gonzales, and The Libertines among the headline acts.

Beyond these high-profile names, the festival’s programme includes a range of standout performances, making it one of the most anticipated cultural events of the summer.

Among the must-see acts, Irish post-punk band Fontaines D.C. will take the stage on June 9. The Dublin-based quintet, riding the wave of their critically acclaimed fourth album Romance, is expected to deliver an electrifying set that highlights their evolution as one of modern rock’s most compelling bands.

For those seeking an alternative spectacle, Cirque Queer will perform on June 12, bringing their vibrant and unconventional take on circus traditions to the Place de la Croix-Rousse.

Known for their exuberant and boundary-pushing performances, the group promises a visually stunning and thought-provoking show.

French singer-songwriter Clara Luciani returns to the festival on June 13, following the success of her 2023 album Mon Sang. Renowned for her deeply emotive ballads and infectious melodies, Luciani’s performance is expected to be a highlight of the festival’s music segment.

Adding a unique blend of music and dance, celebrated choreographer Benjamin Millepied presents GRACE – Jeff Buckley Dances on June 17-18. This tribute to the late singer-songwriter Jeff Buckley will translate the iconic Grace album into a mesmerizing dance performance, creating an immersive experience for both music and ballet enthusiasts.

Hip-hop fans will have much to celebrate, as legendary rap group Cypress Hill takes the stage on June 29. Their performance at the ancient Roman amphitheatre is set to be a high-energy showcase of their biggest hits, including Insane in the Brain and Superstar.

Meanwhile, De La Soul will join forces with French hip-hop luminaries Oxmo Puccino and George Ka for H.I.P.H.O.P. on July 5, a night dedicated to the evolution and impact of the genre.

For a more contemplative experience, Max Richter will perform on July 11, bringing selections from his latest album In A Landscape alongside the critically acclaimed The Blue Notebooks. The celebrated composer’s performance is expected to be one of the festival’s most immersive and atmospheric events.

Theatre enthusiasts can look forward to L’Iliade by Compagnie Bravache on July 16, where the troupe will attempt to retell Homer’s epic tale in just 50 minutes, offering a humorous and fast-paced take on the ancient classic.

With such an impressive lineup, Nuits de Fourvière 2025 promises to be an unmissable cultural extravaganza. Ticket sales are expected to move quickly, with eager festival-goers set to secure their spots for what could be the festival’s most exciting edition yet.
