US ambassador to the EU, who has been at the middle of Donald Trump’s impeachment scandal in Washington, has no personal intention of resigning over allegations of sexual misconduct, a close associate said Thursday.
Sondland has unconditionally denied the accusations, created by 3 ladies, who accused he interefered in an inappropriate behavior years earlier he was named Trump’s envoy to the EU.
“No intention of resigning,” the associate aforesaid, in response to a question concerning whether or not Sondland believed he might still work effectively as a diplomat in Brussels given the distractions of the impeachment method, during which he has been forced to travel Washington to testify, and therefore the new allegations of inappropriate behavior.
