Police cars crash, causing major damage to buildings in Bradford

A crash between two police cars and a row of buildings in Bradford caused damage to some buildings. The West Yorkshire Police said that Keighley Road at Frizinghall is still closed because of the accident that happened on Monday morning.

Pictures show that the ground floor and first floor of a building in a row of shops were badly damaged. The road was closed in both directions, according to the police, while the buildings were made safe.

When asked if anyone had been hurt, a police spokeswoman said that the accident only caused damage.

Neighbors told the media that a “loud bang” woke them up early in the morning. After the accident, Abrar Asif, who owns the nearby Creative Cutz barber shop, was told he couldn’t go to work. He said, “I don’t know when I’ll be able to go back to work.”
Hasnain Abbas, a local businessman, said he was “shocked” by what happened but happy that no one was hurt badly.

Others said that drivers in the area were going too fast. It is suspected that the police cars were in a chase. The West Yorkshire Police hasn’t said anything more about what happened in the crash or given an estimate of when the road might be open again.
