Norwegian Olympic gold medalists Marius Lindvik and Johann Andre Forfang have been suspended and placed under formal suspicion by the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) after being implicated in a cheating scandal at the Nordic World Championships in Trondheim last weekend.
The controversy stems from illegally modified ski suits designed to create an unfair aerodynamic advantage in the ski jumping event.
The FIS determined that Lindvik and Forfang’s suits had been altered with an extra seam, affecting the fit and aerodynamics. This modification—adding extra material in the crotch area—reportedly increased surface area and stiffness, ultimately aiding their flight and stability during jumps.
