Indian cricketer MS Dhoni has taken retirement from international cricket. He brought down the curtain on his 15-year old career as one of the best cricketers who played for India.
He declared his retirement through an Instagram post where he captioned “Thank you for ur love and support throughout, consider me retired from 1929 hrs”.
Mahendra Dhoni has been one of the outstanding wicket player and his record speaks for himself. However, Dhoni would still play for Chennai Super Kings in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020.
The 39-year-old player last represented India in the World Cup 2019 semi-final with New Zealand at Old Trafford in Manchester.
Dhoni had declared his retirement from Test matches in 2014 and has played 350 one-day International (ODIs) and 98 International T20s.
His fans across the world are saddened by the cricketers’ retirement which, however, was long due.
All renowned cricketers supported Dhoni in his decision and applauded his achievements in the cricket field.
