Europe recording more cases than US,India and Brazil combined

Global coronavirus cases increased by more than 400,000 for the first time late on Friday, a record one-day rise as much of Europe passes new limitations to curb the outbreak.

Europe, which strongly tamped down the first wave of infections, has appeared as the latest coronavirus epicentre in recent weeks and is reaching on average 140,000 cases a day over the prior week.

As a region, Europe is reaching more daily cases than India, Brazil, and the United States altogether.

Of every 100 diseases recorded around the world, 34 were from European nations, as per research conducted by Reuters. The region is currently recording a million new viruses contaminations about every nine days and has reached more than 6.3 million cases since the pandemic started.

Central European countries like the United Kingdom, France, Russia, Netherlands and Spain- estimated for approximately half of Europe’s new coronavirus cases in the week to October 18, according to Reuters statistics.

France is reaching the biggest seven-day percentage of new cases in Europe with 19,425 infections per day accompanied by the United Kingdom, Russia, Spain and the Netherlands in worst touched European nations.

Several European nations are closing schools, eliminating electoral operations and enlisting student physicians as the officials face a COVID-19 resurgence.
