Arsenal beat Portsmouth to arrive at the FA Cup Quarterfinals

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said the club’s young players are “worth the hazard” after his energetic group beat League One Portsmouth at an uproarious Fratton Park to arrive at the FA Cup quarter-finals. 

The Gunners supervisor named a side with six players matured 20 or under and they glanced in charge, particularly in the subsequent half, as they beat a group which had not lost in 19 home games and had won their past 10.

Pompey’s just shot on the track came in the subsequent half, with substitute Ronan Curtis’ exertion spared. 

“I’m delighted with them [the youngsters],” Arteta revealed to BBC Sport. “I’m appreciating working with the players. They merit an opportunity. It’s constantly a hazard however they’re worth the risk. 

“It was an extraordinary air, and Portsmouth made it troublesome. We realized we’d have minutes we could endure yet we responded and dealt with the game. We got two objectives and could have had a couple of something else.”
